NATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR DANCE IN SOCIAL INCLUSION

Part of Dance United's mission is to contribute to the solution of a national problem: that there are too few high calibre dance artists able to deliver to the exacting standards needed in this work. This is a very real restraint on the expansion of the company's activities in social inclusion.

Dance United recognises the urgent need to expand its current training initiatives into a national training programme for dance in social inclusion to prepare sufficient dance artists to deliver any new activities. Dance United is committed to designing, marketing and delivering a modular training programme (together with placements and residencies) that will work at a number of levels: it will influence and impact on the primary training of dance artists; attract graduates onto specialist fast-track short courses and provide annual in-service training (INSET) for its growing dance delivery team.

Dance United uses all training work for potential recruitment to the company's team of artists.
