Berlin

Dance United’s work in the community is built on artistic excellence. We believe the most enduring results can only be established by setting the highest artistic standards. Consequently, working with internationally acclaimed artists and companies is very important as the experience feeds directly into our community work.
In recent years, Dance United has co-produced three large-scale productions with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. These ambitious performance projects involved casts of 250 that included infants, disengaged young people and senior citizens, aged 8 to 80, from across the divide in Berlin.
Whilst some of the participants were already interested in dance, many others had never come into contact with dance or classical music before, and touched audiences of over 6,000.
