Wessex Dance Academy
Based on the success of a series of exploratory dance projects Hampshire County Council opened the Wessex Dance Academy in 2011.
Operating from its new home in Winchester, the Wessex Dance Academy delivers 10 week long contemporary dance programmes to vulnerable and disadvantaged young people from across Hampshire.
The Wessex Dance Academy is recruiting for 2013:
Cohort 4 – 16th January – 28th March
Cohort 5 – 26th April – 26th July
Cohort 6 – 23rd September – 13th December
We welcome referrals for young people aged over 15 years old who are:
- NEET (not in education, training or employment)
- in care
- care leavers
- under the supervision of the Youth Offending Team
- at risk of offending
- attending Pupil Referral Units
- excluded from school or school refusers
