We have won awards for our Academy programme:
In 2011 Dance United received the 2011 Jennifer Sieff Platinum Award for Dance by the Koestler Trust for the London Academy performance of Unwritten Pages.
In 2010 Dance United was voted Charity of the Year by the Yorkshire Society; won The Duke of York’s Community Initiative Award and received the 2010 Jennifer Sieff Platinum Award for Dance by the Koestler Trust for the London Academy performance of Momentum.
In 2008, it won the first-ever Koestler Outstanding Award for a dance project.
In 2007: the West Yorkshire Criminal Justice Board Award for ‘Outstanding contribution for tackling youth crime’; the Arts and Young People at Risk of Offending Regional Best Practice Award and the prestigious, national Children and Young People Now Service Award.
